We believe that safety and enjoyment can co-exist together and at The Beachcomber we want you to fully enjoy your Grand Cayman vacation. The white sand, crystal blue water, and beautiful sunsets are just the beginning.

We have spent the last several months preparing to welcome you back to the best part of Seven Mile Beach. It is our goal to give you an amazing experience while, behind the scenes, keeping you safe and well. For your peace of mind, we want you to know specifically what we are doing to achieve this.

REME HALO

For your comfort and safety The Beachcomber has installed the award winning REME HALO in many of its Villas, this is the next generation of indoor air quality technology. With increased ionized hydro-peroxide output and the enhanced catalyst with zinc it is capable of purifying every cubic inch of air that the heating, ventilation and air conditioning It is effective against all three categories of indoor air pollutants: Particulates, Microbials and Gases. Thoroughly tested to safely remove the risks of airborne and surface bacteria, mold spores and viruses, such as MRSA, e-coli, and Norwalk, to name a few. It also eliminates off odors from cooking, manufacturing and processing foods.

CLEANING STANDARDS

Cleanliness of our units has always been a priority and we hold ourselves to the highest standard. On top of our normal procedures, our teams have implemented increased and enhanced precautionary and sanitization standards developed with the guidance and information provided by both local health authorities as well as standards set forth from the US and Canadian C.D.C. and W.H.O.  The protocol includes allotting extra time during the housekeeping process (during, before and after your stay) as well as use of sanitization spray and UVC lighting. Before your arrival our housekeeping team will also clean and sanitize every piece of cutlery, crockery, glassware and other kitchen items (even if they are unused and put away).  In addition to our enhanced in-unit cleaning standards, we have also increased the frequency of sanitization of our high touch point areas such as stairwell doors, railings, and beach furniture all of which will be sanitized regularly throughout the day and, with regard to beach furniture, in between each guest.

LESS PAPER, MORE TECH

We’ve made strides to reduce the number of touch points in each unit. First you will notice our new keyless entry system. A code will be provided to you prior to check in and you can access your unit through an app or simply typing in the provided code.
Rest assured, the codes are changed with every new guest.  Additionally, we have removed the informational binders you may have seen on a
previous visit. The information typically contained in these binders can be found on The Beachcomber App that you will be invited to download prior to your stay. (Paper versions are available upon request.)
Should you need anything during your stay, instead of coming into the office, please feel free to call, email or text us and we would be happy to help in any way we can.

While you will still find the local and long distance phones in the unit, we encourage you to download calling and texting apps like WhatsApp and Skype so you can keep in contact from your own smartphone.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE

We understand some individuals may not feel comfortable with others entering their unit, therefore, you will be able to choose the level of housekeeping you would like to have during your stay. Before your arrival we will discuss your housekeeping preference and whether you would prefer no housekeeping, towel and linen delivery only or our regular housekeeping service. If you choose our regular housekeeping service we will work with you to schedule this as you and your party will need to vacate the unit while the housekeepers clean and sanitize your unit.

BEACH CHAIRS AND UMBRELLAS

These are set up each evening on the beach after everyone has gone in for the day and sanitized with UVC light. In the early morning they will be sanitized again in the same way again and labeled with a note saying “ready to relax”. Throughout the day we will sanitize as necessary.
Please be aware of others if you do move your beach chairs and umbrellas and keep your social distance with those not part of your group.
You will also notice a reduction in the amount of furniture on the pool deck. This was an intentional decision to encourage social distancing amongst guests not in the same family.

CANCELLATIONS

We understand that with travel restrictions and new travel guidelines, things can change in an instant. We want you to feel excited about your trip from the first moment you book without any worry or hesitation in your head. As such, we highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance that covers last minute cancellations related to COVID-19 (as well as other unfortunate incidents) to give you peace of mind and to begin the relaxation process.
